Midnight Mystery Club #2: The Shadow Puppet Show: "Every shadow has a story... and some dont want to be told."

When the Midnight Mystery Club discovers a poster that licks back, they realize: this carnival doesn’t just want an audience—it wants them.

At 3:33 PM, the warning appears—a glistening poster for Monsieur Noir’s Shadow Spectacular, plastered on the abandoned lot where Balthazar’s Carnival once stood. The ink is still wet. The small print reads: "Audience participation required." And when Jaxson touches it, the paper licks his skin, leaving inky tendrils snaking up his wrist.

Then their shadows betray them.

As the streetlights flicker, the kids watch in horror as their own silhouettes stretch toward the poster, straining against their bodies like prisoners. When the shadows finally snap back, the poster reveals its true purpose:

"TONIGHT’S PERFORMANCE STARRING:"

Jaxson Wu, Sofia Rivera, Noah & Emma Parker.

Now, the club must unravel the carnival’s curse before the show begins—because if they don’t, they’ll become part of Monsieur Noir’s collection forever.
